This 6-month program kicks off in mid-May and builds up to the Thailand trip from October 10th to October 18th.

Thank you for your interest in the Epic Vets 6-Month Program and Thailand Trip!
This program is designed for veterans who are committed to improving their physical, mental, and emotional well-being through structured training, teamwork, and adventure.
Over the course of six months, participants will engage in mandatory physical fight training to build foundational skills in boxing, jiu-jitsu, and MMA. Additionally, we’ll host monthly social outings featuring guest speakers, including financial advisors, business leaders, and fellow veterans, all tailored to the needs of those going on the trip.
At the end of the program, we’ll travel to Thailand for an epic 5-day Muay Thai training camp at a Muay Thai resort. On the last night, we’ll attend a live Muay Thai fight event, and for those who feel ready, the opportunity to step into the ring and fight will be yours!
We fully cover the cost of the entire Thailand trip, including flights, airport transportation, accommodations, food, and training. However, for the 6-month program leading up to the trip, we only cover the cost of the physical trainings. We do not provide food, accommodations, transportation, or flights for the monthly trainings and social outings, as they will all take place locally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
If you are applying from out of state and choose to travel on your own to attend the trainings, please note that transportation to and from the airport for the Thailand trip will only be provided from Milwaukee.
Participation requires full commitment.
Please review the program dates carefully before applying, as attendance is mandatory for most activities.
Completing this form does not guarantee selection—this is the first step in the application process.

This training is designed to help veterans cope with the emotional highs and lows that can follow a high-intensity experience like the Thailand trip. We will focus on managing the inevitable emotional shifts, as many experience a "high" during the trip that may lead to a "low" afterward.
Our goal is to equip you with strategies to handle these emotional transitions and support you through them.

This isn’t just a trip. It’s a reset.
For five days, we’ll step into a new rhythm—one that blends hard training with healing, nature, and community. This is where you’ll test yourself in the ring, hike to jungle waterfalls, share meals with teammates, and take time to reconnect with yourself.
We’ll be staying and training at Battle Conquer Gym, a wellness-focused Muay Thai retreat in Thailand that’s built for transformation—mind, body, and spirit.
Here’s a taste of what a typical day looks like:
Sample Daily Schedule
7:00 AM – Muay Thai or Jungle Hike & Guided Meditation
9:00 AM – Noi’s Big Breakfast (you’ll remember it forever)
10:30 AM – Free time to journal, relax, or explore
12:00 PM – Group lunch or town drop-off
3:30 PM – Afternoon training: Muay Thai, Battle Fitness, or Swimming
5:30 PM – Noi’s Evening Feast & Community Time
Each day brings something new—whether it’s a challenge like the Buddha Run, an epic waterfall swim, or a night market stroll with your team. And when you’re not training, you’ll be recovering, growing, and reconnecting—with your mission, your strength, and your brothers and sisters beside you.

👉 CDC Travel Health – Thailand
Lists health-related items to pack (like meds, repellent, first aid), recommended vaccinations, food safety tips, and how to stay healthy abroad. Talk to your doctor if you need to update anything.Weather in October:
Hot and humid—daytime highs around 88–91°F, nights 72–79°F. This is the tail end of the rainy season, so expect occasional heavy showers, mostly in afternoons and evenings, with mornings often clearer. Humidity is high and the UV index is extreme, so pack light, breathable clothes, sunscreen, a hat, and stay hydrated. A compact umbrella or light rain jacket is useful for sudden downpours.
Thailand Travel Tips:
Sort out your phone plan before you fly – Either get an international data pass through your carrier (often easier and more reliable than swapping SIMs) or buy an eSIM online so it’s ready when you land. Popular options include Airalo, Holafly, and Nomad eSIM. Local SIMs from AIS, DTAC, or TrueMove are still a cheap backup option.
Download key apps – Grab, Bolt, or inDrive for taxis and food delivery, Google Translate for signs/menus, and Maps.me for offline maps.
Cash & cards – Many small shops prefer cash. ATMs are everywhere but charge about $6 per withdrawal, so take out larger amounts at once.
Power adapters – Thailand uses Type A, B, and C plugs (same as US and Euro two-pin), 220V. A universal adapter is safest.
Dress smart – For temples, cover shoulders and knees (light pants or long skirt). For daily wear, lightweight, breathable fabrics are best.
Stay hydrated & sun-safe – The heat and humidity can sneak up on you. Always carry water and use sunscreen.
Rain gear – A small umbrella or packable rain jacket is essential in October.
Street food etiquette – Look for busy stalls with high turnover; the food will be fresher.
Water safety – Tap water isn’t safe to drink. Stick to factory-sealed bottled water, filtered water at your hotel, or boiled water. Use bottled water for brushing your teeth if you have a sensitive stomach. Most restaurant ice is safe, but avoid ice from small street vendors.
Respect local customs – Don’t touch anyone’s head, remove shoes before entering homes/temples, and smile—it goes a long way in Thai culture.
Quick currency tips for Thailand 🇹🇭:
USD → THB (Thai Baht) ≈ 1 USD = 32 THB
Notify your bank before traveling to avoid card issues
Exchange a small amount before you go for food, taxis & tips (avoid airport exchanges)
In Bangkok, good rates at SuperRich, Vasu Exchange, Siam Exchange, K79 Money Exchange
ATMs & credit cards work, but carry some cash.
